Beatrice Mcbride is a seasoned freelance photojournalist specializing in event and travel photography.
She delights in capturing the cultures of the world. Her travels have taken her to numerous continents including Africa, Asia, The Caribbean, Europe, Central and South America. Always looking for new ideas and networking opportunities, she participates in various conferences. She counts Visa Pour L’image, Photokina and Photo Plus Expo among her favorite.
Her work has been published and exhibited in various venues. As a member of The Exposure Group delegation to Sao Paulo Brazil, Beatrice participated in a well-received group retrospective exhibit “From King to Obama” hosted by the US Department of State featuring White House photographer Pete Sousa. During this visit, Beatrice was invited to speak at the Museu Afro Brasil and Senac School of Photography about the works of her mentor, legendary Dallas photojournalist R.C. Hickman.
Beatrice is a certified producer with DCTV in Washington D.C. She co-produced an engaging short chronicling the life of Sudanese War Survivor Rev Thon Moses Chol- Coming Full Circle. Beatrice has worked on numerous TD Jakes Ministries broadcast and conference productions.
She is also the Director of Photography for the highly acclaimed Denton Black Film Festival dentonbff.com/meet-the-team/
Her combined experiences prompted the formation of BeMedia One. In addition to creating compelling images, the company’s mission is to develop engaging, high quality exhibits and workshops outside the traditional museum environment.
Beatrice resides in Euless Texas with her family.
Her professional memberships include, The Exposure Group African American Photography Association, Washington D.C., The American Society of Media Photographers, and the PPA.
